Before you can collect with confidence, you have to learn to see.  

This session teaches you how to look at a painting the way an art historian does; not just what draws your eye, but why. You'll develop a working visual language for understanding composition, light, color, medium, and paint, and begin to place the works you encounter within the broader canon of art history, including traditions —  Black and African Art — that West has historically overlooked. 

By the end, a painting is more than simply an emotional draw. It’s a work that you can both feel, read, and describe with fluency.
